The full refurbishment and extension of an existing 1970’s six-seven storey office building located at the heart of the Grand Canal commercial district.
The existing concrete building structure is to be retained and extended with the design proposals working within the constraints of a mass concrete frame.
Design modifications enable the connection of the two building entrances off Baggot Street and Flemings Place via a new internal ‘street’ which in turn connects each of the three existing blocks and enhances opportunities for multi tenancy within the building.
The entire building is to be re-clad externally with the introduction of red sandstone to the primary Baggot Street elevation and with coloured horizontal tile cladding to the remaining facades.
Construction commenced in March 2015.
