Primark Hanover
8,800 sq. m department store refurbishment & fit-out
The new store in Hanover involves the complete refurbishment of a former Sinn Leffers department store in the central shopping district of the city.
The store provides 8,800 sq. m. of retail space on lower ground, ground, first, and second floor levels. The third floor has been designed to allow for an additional retail space in the future. Back of house areas are located on fourth floor. The project also involved new shop fronts, new external signage and feature lights on the facades.
The works were completed over a 20-week period.
The store incorporates Primark’s latest interior store design features and display fixtures. The retail floors have taken full advantage of the height available to provide a bright and exciting retail experience.
A number of energy saving and environmentally friendly measures are installed as part of the fit-out including: high efficiency motors, variable speed Chilled Water and Heating Flow rates to match load demands and free cooling. Extensive use is made of Low Energy LED lighting and a full cardboard and plastic recycling facility has been installed. Energy meters on the lighting, plant and power systems supplies are provided. Store lighting is automatically controlled using the Building Management System (BMS).
