Hewlett-Packard Manufacturing
120,000 sq. m global manufacturing benchmark facility
RKD Architects are proud to have delivered the facility that Hewlett-Packard now uses as its global manufacturing benchmark. Through innovative design solutions, the Leixlip plant demonstrates the highest levels of service integration and design excellence that reflect a world-renowned engineering tradition and powerful brand image – not only is this project used as an in-house comparison for all new HP facilities but it also represents the fastest start-up of any HP facility worldwide.
The grand scale of the 80-hectare site demanded a carefully considered masterplan to take advantage of the excellent natural setting at Liffey Park, West Dublin. The campus buildings provide a home for some 2,700 employees and are unified by a consistent design expression and colour palette and careful and consistent landscaping, which results in this large building complex existing in harmony with its surrounding landscape.
RKD assisted Hewlett Packard with masterplanning, architectural, interior design and project management services of the offices, manufacturing, warehouses, and support services complex.
