Xtratherm X3 European Production Facility achieves building and environmental permit approval
RKD Architects working with Xtratherm and a multi-disciplinary, multinational team have secured building and environmental approval for a new European production and distribution facility for Xtratherm in Feluy in the Walloon region of Belgium to specifically serve their European customers in Belgium, France, Netherlands and Germany with insulated products for the construction industry.
As Design Team leaders and Project Managers, RKD Architects oversaw the preparation of a Permis Unique (combining building and environmental permit applications into a single submission including an Environmental Impact Statement and Safety Risk Report. The application was submitted in December 2012 and approval was received in May 2013. Construction is expected to commence in late 2013 with production due to start in late 2014.
